The bass throbbed through the floor as you stepped out of the bathroom, feeling the heat of the club on your skin. Bear stood waiting, his arms crossed, a cigarette dangling from his lips. He took a long drag, his eyes narrowed as they scanned you from head to toe. You knew he wasn't impressed with the way you'd been flirting with every guy who came near.
"Having fun?" he asked, his voice low and gravelly.
You grinned, knowing he hated your playful attitude. "Just getting warmed up," you purred, leaning against the wall, your eyes meeting his. "Don't tell me you're jealous?"
He scoffed, taking another drag. "Jealous? Of what?"
But you saw the flicker of something in his eyes, something that hinted at a desire he wouldn't admit. "Don't play coy, Bear," you whispered. "I know you like it when I push your buttons."
